Stewart Orden and Bonnie Orden have nearly sixty years of litigating an enormously varied set of legal matters. Mr. Orden is one of only a few lawyers in the country to have been declared an expert witness in trial work by federal courts in Florida and New York, evaluating the conduct and effectiveness of other attorneys in representation of their clients. Mr. Orden has gained settlements for civil clients ranging from personal injury slip and fall victims and car accident victims, to a jury verdict in favor of the owners of a $10m East Hampton beach home wrecked by tenants who let the pipes freeze.

Mr. Orden successfully represented a father in a contested matrimonial case who needed a fighter to gain full custody of his children. After filing papers in the Supreme Court, he obtained a free private school education for a student suspended from public school for writing a “mean girls” diary.

Mr. Orden won the highest publicly acknowledged award ever paid by the City of New York in a sexual harassment case. Two other clients were awarded a settlement of $300,000.00 for an unwelcome kiss on the cheek, and some dirty words spoken as executives in the toy industry.

As a trial expert, Mr. Orden has taught, lectured, and given demonstrations of trial techniques to a national audience of law students and trial lawyers for over twenty-five years. Mr. Orden manages a successful trial practice concentrating in civil litigation, personal injury, matrimonial, white collar, securities, and complex criminal defense. His practice has included enormous settlements in discrimination lawsuits, accident cases, defense of companies under investigation by the Antitrust Division of the Justice Department, companies and individuals under federal investigation by various U.S. Attorney’s offices, and SEC as well as defense of State crimes.

Bonnie Orden is Of Counsel to the Law Firm of Stewart Orden and brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to our clients. As a Justice of the Town Court of Greenburgh she has decided thousands of cases criminal and civil cases of every kind. As an attorney, Bonnie Orden has tried over 75 cases to verdict, and along with her past experience as: a special prosecutor for the County of Westchester; the 3rd ranking member of the New York City Department of Corrections leading all of that department’s investigations; and as a member of a local school board for six years, she brings another dimension of knowledge and expertise to our clients. She has an intimate knowledge of investigations, criminal defense, civil litigation including all the procedural aspects necessary for a successful representation of our clients.
